Exodus

This book helps us see that the power of God is available to us all.

God delivered the Israelites from slavery in Egypt and gave them the opportunity to form their own nation.


The Israelites become slaves

The plagues bring Egypt to its knees

Leviticus

The Israelites must now learn to form a nation, and to be successful they need to understand what God expects of them. The laws and guidelines that God gave them also give us clear principles for living pure lives.

Numbers

The people of Israel failed to enter the Promise Land because they refused to trust  God… so they were forced to wander in the wilderness. This book teaches us about the consequences of rebellion and dissatisfaction with God.

The Israelites were camped east of the Jordan River…shortly they would launch their 1st attack on Jericho.


 Moses gets a final opportunity to remind them what God has done

for them in the past and to prepare them to live faithful lives in the future.


Moses reminds the people where they have been, what they have learned, and what God expects of them as they enter the new land that God had promised them.
