a mid week word 04/09/2020

Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground (Luke 22:42-44).

After the Passover Supper (We Live Streamed a remembrance of that last evening and had communion), Jesus and His disciples went to the Mt. of Olives where He entered into prayer. It is recognized that under extreme mental pressure, the pours may be so dilated that the blood may issue from them so there is a bloody sweat.

The Word says in Hebrews 12: 2 ..for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

That "joy" was knowing that humans created in the image of God, now had a way to God through this great sacrifice that He was entering into for all humanity. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10).

Contrary to traditions, and holidays that we celebrate, today, after Jesus spent the night praying, being arrested and tried, in the morning of the next day after the Passover is when the He physical started to pay the price for our total redemption, by interrogation, a blanket party, a whipping, being mocked, then finally crucified on that cross, which became the bridge for us to cross to get to God. Jesus said, "He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one goes to the Father, except by Him (Jesus).

So the scripture tells us that in the three o'clock hour, the great suffering of the One who knew no sin, paid our debt, and said "It is finished! " Praise God!! Total redemption for who ever would embrace Jesus as Lord of their life.

Come to Jesus, I beg you.
